ROB LEIFELD
Rob Liefeld was born and raised in Orange County and became one of the most
successful creators in comic book history. Over his 40-year career, he has sold more
than 60 million comic books worldwide and is best known for creating Deadpool, Cable,
and X-Force for Marvel Comics.
At age 23, Rob helped launch Image Comics, where his Youngblood series debuted
with sales exceeding one million copies and has since sold more than 25 million copies
worldwide.
Rob’s most famous creation, Deadpool, inspired three blockbuster films starring Ryan
Reynolds that generated more than $2.9 billion at the global box office.
This year, we have the privilege of hearing Rob share his faith journey and the lessons
that have guided his life and career. Rob and his wife, Joy, have three grown children
and a daughter-in-law, and continue to call Orange County home.
